Photo studio billing is not retail billing
Most billing software in India is built for a counter: an item, a quantity, a rate, a GST slab, print. That works for a shop. A photo studio bills something that was agreed months earlier, partly paid in instalments, and delivered in stages.
So the invoice has to know things a billing app never knows: which functions the family agreed to, what the accepted package said, how much came in as a UPI token in March, and what is actually outstanding today.
Studio Mithra generates the invoice from the booking. The line items are the coverage the client accepted, the advances are already logged against milestones, and the GST treatment uses SAC 998361 with your GSTIN. Nothing is retyped, so nothing drifts.
You also get the rest of the loop for free: the enquiry that became the booking, the crew that shot it, and the delivery status that closes the balance conversation.
From accepted quote to paid invoice
- The proposal sets the price. Per-function coverage and price the client accepts on a mobile link.
- Advances log as they arrive. UPI, bank, cash, cheque or card recorded against the right milestone.
- The invoice reflects reality. GST-ready SAC 998361 invoice with the correct outstanding balance.
What separate billing costs a studio
- Retyping the package. Every invoice restates the proposal, with a fresh chance to get it wrong.
- Manual advance deduction. Finding a March UPI token to subtract from a November invoice by hand.
- Generic SAC codes. Photography services have a specific code — 998361 — that retail templates miss.
- Two systems to reconcile. What was quoted and what was invoiced drift apart every single month.
One booking, one truth
- SAC 998361 invoicing. The right services code with GSTIN and GST percentage on the invoice.
- Advances already applied. Balances correct without manual arithmetic.
- Downloadable records. Invoices you can download for your files and your CA.
- Everything upstream included. Leads, proposals, crew and delivery in the same system.
